Meant to Be Engagement Card

So yesterday I had the fabulous news that one of my cousins has got engaged so I decided to make a card for her and her fiancé. I wanted to go for a romantic vintage feel se chose a colour scheme of Powder Pink, Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla and paired them with the Meant to Be Bundle.

To create the background a stamped the circle pattern from Graceful Garden in Crumb Cake across two corners of the card. I then ran that through the Big shot in the Subtles Dynamic Impressions Embossing Folder to give a worn look. A little sponged Crumb Cake around the edges adds to the vintage feel.

For the main focus of the card I cut some heart from the Be Mine Thinlits in Powder Pink and in Very Vanilla. I stamped the greeting Meant to Be from the stamp set in Crumb Cake and finished the card off with one of the tiny Heart Epoxy Droplets.

I love how this turned out and hope my cousin likes it too.

Floral Friday: Bloom by Bloom

So I’m back with another Floral Friday post and today I’m featuring the Bloom by Bloom stamp set. This is one of those stamp sets where you can just grab a few different inks and really have fun creating patterns and arrangements. For today’s cards I really embraced our bright and cheery colours and chose Melon Mambo, Mango Melody, Pineapple Punch and Granny Apple Green, the perfect spring combination.

Bloom by Bloom card 1

For this first card I didn’t quite get the flower centres lined up properly but it still turned out to be my favourite card of the four. I used the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set for the greeting and the Everyday Label and Classic Label punches to create my little focal point.

Bloom by Bloom card 2

For this card I added a little strip of the Granny Apple Green polka dot paper from the Brights DSP stack. I decided to leave this one without a greeting as I think the flowers are enough on their own, plus it would be the perfect card to send to someone to cheer them up.

Again this one has some of the Brights DSP and I left it without a greeting,

The final one, which is probably the busiest looking one as the greeting and extra paper but was still quick and easy to put together.

I really love this stamp set and if you’re a floral fan like me its definitely one to add to your collection.

Let It Ride Encouragement Card

Any horse fan is sure to love the Let It Ride stamp set, I love the realistic artwork in this set and it can be brought to life easily with the Stampin’ Blends. For this card I’ve stuck to a monochromatic colour scheme using Crumb Cake, Soft Suede and Very Vanilla with a hint of Old Old.

To add a bit of texture to the card I ripped the edges of a strip of Soft Suede and then ran it through the Bigshot in the Corrugated Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, I think this gives a real rustic feel to the card.

Let it Ride Encouragement

For a final embellishment I added a strip of the Braided Linen Trim  which has carried over from the Autumn/Winter Catalogue.

Here’s a look at the inside.  I really like all the sentiments in this set as they are perfect for all kinds of encouragement and support, something we could al use from time to time.

Home to Roost Card with a Crazy Colour Combination

For today’s card I challenged myself to use some products which are not my favourites. As a starting point I pulled out some So Saffron cardstock, a colour I very very rarely use. This made me think of straw so I pulled out the Home to Roost stamp set from this year’s Sale-A-Bration selection and also the Garden Impressions 6 x 6 DSP stack which I find a little busy with so many colours included.

Here’s what I came up with and actually I quite like it, whowould have thought So Saffron, Calypso Coral and Bermuda Bay would work together.

Just a touch of Bermuda Bay has really brought this card to life don’t you think?
