Floral Friday: Lasting Lily Birthday Card

Yesterday it was my Aunt’s birthday and I thought the Lasting Lily stamp set would be the perfect choice to use for her card. The Lasting Lily is one of this years Sale-A-Bration stamp sets which are free with a purchase of £45.00 or more until the end of this month. We also have a matching Framelits die set available while stocks last so you can easily cu cut out those lily’s and make some beautiful cards.

Due to the nature of the photopolymer on long thin stamps these stamps can be tricky to line up with the Framelits as they have a tendancy to bend slightly. To rectify this simply follow these simple steps in the photo below

I love how this card turnedout and I’d like to thank fellow demonstrator Patty Bennett for my inspiration with the colour scheme and the use of that adorable bow from the Wishing You Well stamp set, you can check out here Lasting Lily post here.

So Happy to have You Card

Today I just wanted to make a card which shows off my favourite pattern in the All My Love DSP, this red floral is gorgeous I would love to have it as wallpaper in my bedroom. I’ll have to settle for layers on cards though I think.

So Happy to have you card close up

I’m not normally a person who gravitates towards the stamp sets which contain large greetings as I struggle with how to use them but this greeting from Amazing Life works really well this paper and I feel it makes the perfect card to send to someone special to let them know you care.

I fussy cut out the banner part of the greeting just to add a little dimension to the card, maybe I should have done this in a different colour but I can’t decide, what do you think Lovely Lipstick or should I have chosen something to make it pop more.

So happy to have you flat

Do you have a favourite Stampin’ Up! paper, I’d love to know which is your favourite?

Pop of Petals Floral Trio Birthday Card

Can you believe I’ve had the Pop of Petals stamp set and matching Four-Petal Flower Punch and they’ve not been used, shocking right? So today’s the day I inked it up and created the simple but stunning birthday card.

Three stamped and punched flowers in Berry Burst and a little foliage stamped in Lemon Lime Twist and you have the main part of the card.

Next simply add your chosen greeting to the centre of the stamping, my sentiment came from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set, then you have an almost complete card.

To finish the card I added a large Gold Facet Gem to the centre of each flower, aren’t they just the perfect fit?

Floral Friday – Climbing Roses

As its Friday I thought I’d share one of my Floral Friday projects with you this week and today’s card was made using the Climbing Roses Bundle. Roses are one of my favourite flowers so I’ve loved having this lovely big image to sit and colour.

After adding the greeting’s panel it looked a little lost so I added a few of the smaller roses to help it blend in with my rose background more.

I really love how this card turned out and it was nice to break away from my normal card size and make a 5″ square tent fold card for a change.

Simple Stamping – Vibrant Vases

So today I’m bringing #SimpleStamping to the Vibrant Vases set. I was so pleased to see this in the new catalogue as its adds even more versatility to using the Varied Vases Bundle which is one of my favourites from the Annual Catalogue.

For this project I’ve used just four inks (Blueberry Bushel, Old Olive, Calypso Coral and Tuxedo Black Memento) and the stamp set.

Although these are photopolymer stamps and easy to line up  I would suggest using the Stamp-a-ratus if your going to create an image where things need lining up in straight lines like the vase on the shelf. This would also make creating multiples of this card very quick.

Hope you’ve enjoyed today’s #SimpleStamping and a quick look at Vibrant Vases.
