Pastel Prettiest of Birthdays Card

It’s the pastel shades of Soft Sea Foam and Flirty Flamingo for today’s card made with the Prettiest of Birthdays stamp and die set. From banners and balloons to cake and flowers this set has a whole host of images suitable for the prettiest of birthday cards.

I’ve just used the cake image today to create this soft feminine birthday card. The background is created with a layer of Soft Sea Foam which has been run through the Tasteful Texture 3D Embossing Folder. I’ve then used one of the Square Vellum Dolies coloured Flirty Flamingo by using the new Blending Brushes from our current Mini catalogue.

I’ve added the cake image, cut the stand part off as it didn’t look quite right. I’ve fussy cut some extra flowers from the cake image to balance my card out across the sentiment label.

Simple Encouragement Card with Tasteful Touches

Today I’m sharing a simple card made with the Tasteful Touches stamp set, Tasteful Labels dies and the In Good Taste DSP. I’m glad this paper is carrying over as its full of really useful designs for backgrounds or elements as I’ve used here. It’s also got twenty sheets in the pack so I have plenty left to use up.

The Tasteful Touches stamp set it one which can appeal to everybody, to I’ve paired it with Night of Navy and a touch of Seaside Spray for a masculine feel.

I cut out four of the large circles from the paper and two from cardstock to stamp a greeting and extra pattern. Then simply overlapped them down one side of the card. The circle with the greeting on is stuck down with Stampin’ Dimensionals to raise it up slightly.

I then finished the card with three Night of Night Rhinestones from the Holiday collection.

This card is for my son as he’s been working really hard on his maths and swimming since going back to school and I wanted him to know how proud we are of him.

Hey Chick, Miss You Card

Today I’m sharing a card I’ve made for a special friend who I miss very much, I haven’t seen her since July last year and fingers crossed we can see each other soon!!

I’ve gone chick mad and used products from both Hey Chick and Hey Birthday Chick stamp sets and their matching dies and why not they all work great togther. I’ve used my favourite two chicken stamps, one from each set for my main focus.

A little blending of Balmy Blue and So Saffron created the background for my little scene. The fence die cuts come from the Birthday Chick die set.

For the grass and the little speech bubbles I pulled out the Special Day dies, which also work great for scene building.

The greeting comes from Hey, Chick and also Blossoms in Bloom where I used “Miss You” from the stamp “Sure Do Miss You” I just covered up Sure do while I inked as the whole lot wouldn’t fit in my speech bubble.

I loved making this little scene card and hope my friend does when I get it mailed out to her.

Black Brick Butterfly Card

Black Brick Butterfly….try saying that really fast! There isnt even any black bricks on this card as they’re pink but I liked the title. Again I’ve been playing with the Brilliant Wings Dies, my new favourite product for sure. Today I’ve used the brick effect die (hence the title) to create part of my background. Ilove how you can see the mix of watercolour pinks through the bricks from the designer paper behind.

Here’s a close up of how much detail the large butterfly has, so beautiful! I’ve sat the butterfly on a Stitched Circle die in Blushing Bride and added the Happy Birthday greeting from Speacial Someone in Magenta Madness.

A few Magenta Madness Enamel Dots finish the card off, I seem to be putting these on every card I make at the moment.

Just Jade Butterfly Birthday Cards

Today’s cards are made with the Brilliant Wings and the Butterfly Bijou 6″ x 6″ Paper Pack. I love when Stampin’ Up! bring out designer paper which has coordinating dies as it makes creating so easy. Whats great about these products is the outline die in the set cuts out six complete butterflies from one sheet of paper in one cut, or if you’re using the stamp set you can simply stamp and cut, meaning you can very quickly end up with a desk full of butterflies like me!

Both background papers also come from the Butterfly Bijou paper pack, I love all the pastel shades and watercolour effects on these sheets so much I’ve ordered a couple more of these paper packs.

The greeting for both cards comes from the Peaceful Moments stamp set and the die comes from the Painted Labels die set.

A little Misty Moonlight Twill Ribbon and a few Enamel Dots and the cards are done. I’m really loving how great Misty Moonlight and Just Jade look together on these cards.
