Shark Frenzy Father’s Day Card

Who remembers the Baby Shark song from a few years ago? My daughter still loves it so when Shark Frenzy was in the Mini Catalogue I knew I had to buy it for her. She’s loved making little sharks and having a good sing song with herself….I can’t stand the song myself!

I’ve made her this card to give to her dad on Sunday as he still indulges her singing.

I used a Basic White Card Base and added some colour with Pool Party Ink using a Blending Brush.

On seperate cardstock I stamped the baby shark and the bigger shark. The baby shark is filled with second generation Misty Moonlight ink and the bigger shark is filled with second generation Grey Granite. As this card is from my daughter I added a pink bow to the baby Shark.

I then stamped the “daddy” at the top left of the card and the “I Love You! ” in the bottom right corner both in Coastal Cabana.

I then diecut some reeds in Shaded Spruce and some bubbles in Coastal Cabana, the multi purpose adhesive sheets are a must for me when working with these small detailed dies as they make adhering to the card so easy.

The Shark Frenzy stamp set and matching dies are on the LastChance list for the January to June Mini Catalogue, so if you want them there is only a few days left to purchase.

Turtle Friends Birthday Card

How cute is this little turtle? Turtle Friends is definitley one of the first sets that caught my eye in the new catatlogue and the best thing about this stamp set, the matching punch so you can go turtle mad.

For this card I’ve stuck to just turtle stamped in our new Evening Evergreen onto Soft Succulent cardstock. I’m not usually a green person but I do love these two new colours, especially the Evening Evergreen which I’m hoping features heavily in the up and coming mini catalogue in July, it’s never too early to think about Christmas!

Anyway back to this card, the card base and background are both Fresh Freesia. The background layer I ran through the Hammered Metal 3D embossing folder as I think it works perfectly with the pattern on the turtles shell.

I’ve added a few diecut balloons from the Hippo & Friends Dies and some of the new Loose Flower Flourishes in Pale Papaya, we need these in every colour I LOVE them!!

Vine Design Thinking of You Card

For today’s card I’ve pulled out the Flowering Vine Dies which coordinate with the Vine design stamp set, both from the January to June Mini Catalogue. I love how much detail they have in the three large dies and the overall fresh modern vibe with they have.

I’ve used Just Jade, Magenta Madness and Basic White for this card. I love how much the white background die stands out on the card and the Magenta Madness just adds a pop of colour.

A few Coastal Cabana Rhinestone for the flower centres and the card is done. I can’t wait to play with this set some more.

Kangaroo Thanks A Bunch Card

It’s Kangaroo & Co which has seen some ink today to make this thank you card, if you changed the sentiment it could easily be used as a birthday or get well soon card aswell.

I took one of the Ornate Layers dies and cut it out of Basic White. While the card was still in the die I used a Blender Brush and Soft Sea Foam to create the grass, with heavier blending at the bottom and a very light touch at the top. I then added a little bit of grass again using Soft Sea Foam.

I also stamped the butterfly and the greeting on this panel. I used the flower stamp and Versamark to create the subtle background on the Blamy Blue card base.

To finish the card I added a die cut Kangaroo coloured in Crumb Cake and a bunch of flowers in Balmy Blue, Soft Sea Foam and Daffodil Delight.

Eggs and Chicks Easter Card

Happy Easter everyone, hope you get to celebrate with your families in some way. Can you guess the inspiration for this card? Thats right Mini Eggs, I’m a huge fan of these and would eat them year round if I could find them. At least now with the Chick Dies I can create my own card versions whenever I want.

The chickens and egg come from both the Hey Chick and Hey Birthday Chick sets, I’m loving the endless combinations of scenes you can make with these characters and highly recommend you pick them up if your a chicken lover.

The greeting comes from the Timeless Tulips stamp set and I’ve used one of the flower stalks as a post for my greeting signpost. The actual sign is made from the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch.

Can you guess how many eggs are on the card?

Answer: 59, as the die cuts two eggs at a time thats 30 trips through the Cut and Emboss machine, worth it though dont you think!
