To start off my Christmas cards this year I pulled out the Star of Light stamp set, which ironically was one of the sets I last used before my summer break. I started with a simple card featuring a little simple stamping and two of the dies from the Starlight Thinlits die set.
First I stamped the detailed star in Rich Razzleberry onto Sweet Sugarplum cardstock. I then cut this out using the largest outline die. I also cut out the small detailed star in Rich Razzleberry, which was stuck onto the multi-purpose sheets which makes it super easy adhere to the Sweet Sugarplum star.
Next I took a strip of Whisper White measuring 14.5cm x 6cm and stamped two of the large swirls in Sweet Sugarplum and then stamped the “Merry Christmas” greeting at the bottom of the strip in Rich Razzleberry.
I then took the Ticket Tear border punch and created a border strip in Sweet Sugarplum 14.5cm long for each side of the white panel. I then adhered this to a card base in Rich Razzleberry and then used Stampin’ Dimensional’s on the back of the Sweet Sugarplum star, here is the finished card front:
For the inside of the card I cut a piece of Whisper White card measuring 14cm x 10cm and just stamped the large swirl in Sweet Sugarplum.
Thanks for stopping by and looking at my first Christmas card of 2017, check back tomorrow and the rest of this week for more cards featuring Stars and Snowflakes.
Happy Crafting
