Today is the first in my new week long series featuring the Sealed With Love Bundle from the Spring/Summer catalogue. I’m hoping to bring you some ideas and show you this bundle can be used for more than just Valentine’s cards.
I thought I’d start the series off with something completely different, a love themed version of 3 in a Row, “Hearts & Kisses” made using the Sending Love dsp stack, Layering Squares Framelits and the Sealed With Love stamp set.
To make the board you will need a piece of Real Red cardstock measuring 61/2″ by 6 1/2″
Take a piece of the Sending Love dsp stack, or any other piece of 6″ square patterned paper. Score on both sides at 2″ and 4″ to form a grid pattern.
Cut two strips of 12″ cardstock 1/4″ wide and cut in half so you have four 1/4″ strips each 6″ in length.
Stick the red strips along the score lines on your dsp piece to form the grid. Stick the whole piece to the centre of the Real Red piece, your board is complete.
To make the playing pieces you will need to cut twelve squares from the 1 1/4″ scallop square Framelit in Real Red and twelve squares of Whisper White from the 1 3/16″ square die.
One six of the white squares stamp the lips images from the Sealed With Love stamp set in Real Red ink and on the other six stamp one of the Heart images. Stick the stamped images onto the red squares and your ready to play.
I loved making this little game and can see it transferring to a other stamp sets such as Beetles & Bugs or Day the Beach really well.
