Color & Contour is one bundle which I bought more for the dies as I love a die which creates a matt for me to work with and who doesn’t love things with a scalloped edge? Win, win! So I focused just on the stamp set and here’s what I created:
I’ve used a mix of Pale Papaya, Polished Pink and Soft Succulent from the 21-23 In-colours, which are definitley my favourite collection. Stampin’ Up! please please don’t retire these colours I love them.
One thinng that makes the Color and Contour stamp set for me is the sentiments I love when they contain a mix of scripty with capitals. I’d love it if we had a complimetary birthday set in the same font.
From the stamping you can see I didn’t get the outlines to match up with the middle parts but I think this adds more depth to the card and makes the card realistic.
This week I’m showcasing the Sweet Conversation Bundle along with the Sweet Talk DSP the perfect products to create some Valentine’s Day cards.
I’ve kept the colur scheme very simple with Real Red, Blushing Bride and a hint of Black.
This first card uses the lollipop paper from the Sweet talk pack and looking at it I knew I had to turn all those lollipops shiny with some Shimmery Crytal Effects. I love how this looks so just added a simple sentiment using the banner in the Sweet Heart Dies. To give it the banner edge on both ends make sure the edge of the die is hanging off the edge of the cutting plates on the first cut (so it doesn’t cut) and then flip it round so the middle part is over the edge before cutting again.
This second card uses a mix of paper and stamped die cuts to create the hearts and sentiment.
I went a bit crazy stamping and die cutting all the different hearts from the stamps and the paper so this card is a little collage of all my favourite hearts mixed togther, with a simple sentiment at the bottom to finish.
I love all these cards and can’t wait to play with these products again and use the other sheets of paper which are more colourful and more versatile.
How cute are these little otters? I love when Stampin’ Up! release a new animal stamp set and this one is no exception, my favourite stamp is the little otter with the fish…adorable!
Here is a quick card I made using the free Awesome Otters stamp set:
Here are some more examples that the Stampin’ Up! concept artists have created, these can all be found in the Sale-A-Bration brochue.
Love this card usin the Picture This die to create the peep holes for the otters and the use of the Simply Marbelous DSP and the Pebble Enamel Shapes really add to the watery feel of the card.
This card uses just the party hat to create a simple little birthday card, reminds me to take a good look at all the stamps included in a set not just the focal images.
This cute little otter has been added to a tag for this birthday gift.
Hope these cute little projects have given you a closer insight into the Awesome Otters set availble now until the end of February with a purchase over £45/€50.
Today the Pootler’s Team are hopping with projects from the new Janaury to June Mini Catalogue. This is a great catalogue and I love that there are so many new floral sets which are my favourite! So it was really hard to pick a favourite to share with you today but I’ve chosen the Daffodil Daydream set which features two gorgous floral images and some lovely decorative elements along with two senitments.
So here’s what I’m sharing today:
I’ve stamped the main Daffodil image and then die cut with the matching Daffodil Dies. I then coloured with a mix of Daffoidil Delight, Pale Papaya, Old Olive.
Here’s a closer look at the Balmy Blue version:
The background paper comes from the Simply Marbelous 6″ x 6″ Designer Paper which is a free product available during Sale-A-Bration.
The Flirty Flamingo version also uses the same paper:
I’ve used a Basic White matt cut from the Hippo and Friends Dies to mount my daffodils on and I’ve finished the card off with some Brushed Brass Butterflies which are gorgeous.
