First Christmas Card of the season with Have A Hoot

It’s taken me a while to get crafting with the new August – December Mini Catalogue, mainly because the kids have been at home so much but now they’re back at school (well tomorrow) its time for me to get my Christmas craft and show you everything I love about this catalogue.

One of the first sets that caught my eye was the Have A Hoot stamp and die set I love these cute little owls that are perfect for Halloween, christmas and other occassions. Today I’m sharing the first Christmas card I’ve made this year featuring these cute owls and my very favourite Lovely Labels Pick A Punch.

Firstly I stamped and coloured the owls with the Stampin’ Blends and then die cut them. I really like how you can just cut out the owls and leave the branches off your card it you like, this means those little owls can sit anywhere you want them too.

To create the background I used the tags die to cut out of Window Sheet to give me a stencil to create the sponged background. I then used Balmy Blue to sponge through the “cut out windows” and create the background for my owls. I then stamped each owl image again so I had the branches in the background.

I then used the tag die again to cut out the windows in the green designer paper which is from the Flowers for Every Season Collection. I matted my stamped/sponged background to the dsp making sure my sponging lined up. I then matted this on a layer of Real Red cardstock before adhering to my card base.

I then added my three stamped owls onto their branche using Stampin’ Dimensionals or you could use the new foam adhesive sheets and to finish the card I added a greeting to the top left corner of the card using the Lovely Labels Pick A Punch.

I love how cute this card is and its definitely got my in the mood for more Christmas Crafting.

Cabana & Calypso Under My Umbrella Card

I’m hoping today’s card will chase away the rain and bring us some sunshine as I’d love to wear something other than wellies when I’m outisde. Hopefully the bright fun colours of Coastal Cabana and Calypso Coral will tempt that sunshine out.

Ornate Blooms with Stampin’ Blends

This card features one of my most longed for products a Stampin’ Blends marker in Melon Mambo. There have been so many times I’ve reached for this colour only to be dissappointed we don’t have it, so yay Stampin’ Up! I’m one happy girl.

I’ve pulled out the Ornate Style stamp set to colour that gorgeous floral arrangement. I used Melon Mambo, Mango Melody, So Saffron, Seaside Spray and the new markers in Just Jade which are lovely too.

The background paper comes from the new In Colour 2020-2022 and is in Just Jade. I added the greeting from the Butterfly Gala stamp set on a punched label from the Lovely Labels Pick A Punch on the 3/4″ width.

To finish the card I added three Mango Melody sequins from the Artistry Blooms Sequins Collection, I love that these are self adhesive so you can just stick and go.

Thinking of You Card with Beautiful Moments

The images in the Beautiful Moments stamp set are bringing back a lot of happy memories for me at the moment as I’m longing to go the the beach and feel the wind in my hair as I walk along the beach with my little girl…..one day soon I hope.

These images are also great for colouring which is what I’ve done here using Seaside Spray, Petal Pink, crumb Cake, Old Olive and Higland Heather Stampin’ Blends.  I’ve used the stitched rectangle die from the Nature’s Thoughts die set, this will be back in the new catalogue in June.

For the background I used Rococo Rose cardstock in the new Ornate Flowers 3D Embossing Folder, which could be my new favourite as I love those cute little flowers.  I added some of the Whisper White Crinkle Seam Binding Ribbon to finish the card off.

Happy Easter Card

Easter is not normally a time for sending cards in the UK but given the present circumstances it might be nice to make some and let those people we can’t see know we’re still thinking of them at a time when families are generally all together. For this Easter card I’ve pulled out the Welcome Easter set which I think has the some of the cutest little animals we’ve had in a stamp set. Although I love the lamb I chose to just use the Rabbit and Chick on todays card.

After stamping both the Rabbit and the Chick in Tuxedo Memento Ink I coloured them with Stampin’ Blends and then carefully fussy cut the out.

Happy Easter Card - flat

I cut a panel of Whisper white cardstock measuring 10.5cm x 6.5cm and on this I stamped my Happy Easter greeting, the tiny little bee and some grass and flowers for my Rabbit and Chick to sit among. I matted this on some Highland Heather cardstock measuring 11cm x 7cm.

The background layer of the card is made from a piece of the Subtles Designer Paper in Soft Sea Foam measuring 13.9cm x 9.5cm adhered to a layer of Highland Heather cardstock measuring 14.4cm x 10cm. This was then adhered to a Whiper white card base.

To finish off the card I added my Rabbit and Chick to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
