Balmy Blue Bottle Birthday Card

Today I’ve gone for all the B’ and used Balmy Blue and the Bubble Over stamp set to make a boy themed birthday card and I love how its turned out.

I love how the bubble paper from the Tranquil Textures DSP highlights the tone on tone bubbles stamped on my card base.

I’m loving the addition of Balmy Blue to our line up, its a shade of blue I think we’ve been lacking since Bashful Blue and Ballet Blue retired years ago and I think Balmy Blue is the perfect mix of both of these colours. It also looks stunning with Night of Navy which makes me happy as this is a colour I find tricky to use.

“You Are Wonderful” with the Nature’s Poem Suite

One of the standout suite’s from this years catalogue for me is the Nature’s Poem Suite, which if you love the Lovely As A Tree stamp set you will adore as its the perfect collection of products to compliment that set. One of my favourite stamps in the Rooted in Nature stamp set is the tree stump slice which has some great detail on it.

For this card the tree stump came from a second generation stamping in Soft Suede, I love how this really brings out all the details in the tree stump. I embossed the greeting “You Are Wonderful” in copper which I think works perfectly with all the tones in the gorgeous Nature’s Poem DSP.

To add to the rustic feel I added some loops of Linen thread and some Copper Trim to highlight the embossing. I have the dies on order so look forward to more projects from this beautiful suite soon.

Share What You Love Suite and Grapefruit Grove

For today’s card I’m showcasing products from the Share What You Love Suite in Grapefruit Grove, one of our new 2018-2020 In-Colours. As regular readers will know I’m not a huge fan of the orange/peach shades in our collection but Grapefruit Grove is lovely and currently my favourite of the new in-colours.

Most of these products come from the Gotta Have It All bundle, which I highly recommend anyone purchasing as this suite of products is just stunning in real-life.

I added a circle from the Stitched Shape Framelits as a base for my stamping. The leaves are done in second generation ink so you can see how lovely a lighter shade of this colour is. The doily was one of the new pearlescent ones turned over and inked with Grapefruit Grove, I think this gives the card a real pop.  The beautiful Artisan Pearls add the perfect finishing touch, I can see myself going through many packets of these.

Here’s a close-up of the card, I wish the photo showed the beautiful pearly shimmer on those fussy cut flowers.  Hope you enjoyed today’s project.

Eastern Palace Mini Treat Bag & Notecard

For today’s project I wanted to make a little notecard to accompany a gift and I decided to use the Mini Treat Bag Framelits and pair it with products from the Eastern Palace suit which work really well for both men and women.

I kept the stamping simple with a mix of fresh Fig, Dapper Denim and Emerald Envy, I love how perfectly aligned the dots are thanks to the Stamparatus (available June 1st), simple but stunning.

The Mini Treat Bag was made up using the instructions in the die packet, just cut the two large dies and stick together. To add some decoration to my bag I created a belly band which can be removed. I just wrapped some of the Tranquil Tide Finely Woven Ribbon around the bag and secured at the front with a small piece of Tear n Tape. I then simply stuck on of the Gold Vinyl Stickers on some Fresh Fig cardstock and cut out with the two corresponding dies from the Eastern Medallions Thinlits. I love how this combination of dies cuts out the inner petals and adds even more dimension to the project.

I love how with coordinating products a project like this can take just a few minutes to complete and looks gorgeous when finished. Magical Day Mermaid Birthday Card

Today I’m featuring the Magical Day stamp set out of the Spring/Summer catalogue, I love this set and was really hoping this would not be retiring, sadly it is so if you haven’t yet added it to your collection I highly recommend it.

I chose the little mermaid stamp as my focus as I wanted to use the bubble paper from the Myths and Magic Speciality DSP and the Glitter Epoxy Shapes. Here’s my card:
