To Have and To Hold Anniversary Card

Today I’m sharing a quick and simple anniversary card made with the To Have and To Hold stamp set. I really like the main image in this stamp set, I hope they are as happy as they look.

I coloured the image with Stampin’ Blends in Soft Sea Foam, Flirty Flamingo, Balmuy Blue, Crumb cake, Soft Suede and Petal Pink. Even though I didn’t use Lovley Lipstick in my colouring I think it adds a real “pop” to the card.

To add some interest to the background I added some of those lovely heart clusters from the Forever Lovely stamp set, stamped in Powder Pink to match the background.

If you don’t have a Big Shot you could just create a square frame for the main image making this an even simpler card to make.

Powder Pink Parcel Birthday Card

When I started making this card it was going to be similar to the sample on page 16 of the Spring/Summer catalogue but I was going to swap the black diecut for Silver Foil. I couldn’t find my Silver Foil so used Champagne Foil instead and ended up with this card.

I’d forgotten how much I love the Champagne Foil, it really does add a wow factor to your project and I think it looks gorgeous with my favourite In-Colours Powder Pink, Berry Burst, Tranquil Tide and Fresh Fig.

To make the different coloured parcels I simply placed small pieces of cardstock behind the foil die cut and secured them with some Tear “n” Tape, you could use your markers to colour in each different section.

Hope you can join me again for another project tomorrow.

Jar of Love – Best Fishes Card

I haven’t made many blue cards recently so decided to use Blueberry Bushel and Pool Party as a base for todays card. I pulled out Jar of Love which is one of my oldest stamp sets but also one of my most unused sets, I just find it hard work. Any ideas greatly appreciated!

Anyway I decided to use the little fish stamp and create an underwater type card. For the background I ran the Dot to Dot Textured Impressions folder through the Big Shot with some Pool Party cardstock, I love how this created a bubbly background.

For the centre of the card I stamped out the fishes in Pumpkin Pie and then cut masks out of post-it notes with the matching die from the Everyday Jars Framelits.  I’d stamp and cut out three fish before I realised I didn’t need the stamping on the post-it notes, oops!!

After covering all the fish with their little masks I sponged over a layer of Pool Party ink. I added a little greeting with the Classic Label punch and dave one fish some dimension with a Stampin’ Dimensional.

For a final touch  I added three little dots of the Fine-Tip glue nest to each fish which when complely dried looked like bubbles coming out of the fish, sadly these don’t show on the photos.

I’d love to see your creations with this stamp set as its one I struggle with.

Meant to Be Engagement Card

So yesterday I had the fabulous news that one of my cousins has got engaged so I decided to make a card for her and her fiancé. I wanted to go for a romantic vintage feel se chose a colour scheme of Powder Pink, Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla and paired them with the Meant to Be Bundle.

To create the background a stamped the circle pattern from Graceful Garden in Crumb Cake across two corners of the card. I then ran that through the Big shot in the Subtles Dynamic Impressions Embossing Folder to give a worn look. A little sponged Crumb Cake around the edges adds to the vintage feel.

For the main focus of the card I cut some heart from the Be Mine Thinlits in Powder Pink and in Very Vanilla. I stamped the greeting Meant to Be from the stamp set in Crumb Cake and finished the card off with one of the tiny Heart Epoxy Droplets.

I love how this turned out and hope my cousin likes it too.

Fantastic Foil Doily Card

I really do think the free Sale-A-Bration foil sheets are fantastic in both Lovely Lipstick and Grapefruit Grove, I can’t chose a favourite and I have stocked up on mulitple packs of this gorgeous foil.

For this card I was inspired by the sample in Spring/Summer catalogue on page 47 which used the large doily from the Doily Builder Framelits to create a background. I wanted to use the foil so chose black for my die-cut layer to give the foil the biggest wow factor and boy does it shine, I love the colour changes of this card so so much.

I didn’t want to add too much else to the card so used various circular dies to build up an area for the sentiment. For a final embellishment I added some of the Share What You Love pearls in Grapefruit Grove.

If you haven’t picked up any of this gorgeous foil yet and you’re in Europe then place a £45.00 order now and you can have a pack for free!
